PregnoScan Pregnancy Test Kit

The PregnoScan Test Kit is a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay. The test strip consists of a colored conjugate pad containing colloidal gold particles conjugated with monoclonal anti-hCG antibodies and mouse IgG, and a nitrocellulose membrane strip containing test line monoclonal anti-hCG antibodies (T) and a control line polyclonal Goat Anti-Mouse IgG antibody (C line). When an adequate volume of test specimen is dispensed into the sample well of the cassette, the specimen migrates by capillary action across the cassette. hCG, if present in the specimen, will bind to the hCG gold conjugate. The immunocomplex is then captured on the membrane by the precoated antibodies forming a colored T band indicating a positive test result. Absence of the test region suggests a negative result. Absence of a colored band in the control region suggests an invalid result and the specimen must be retested with another device.
